A bactericidal patch is the most popular type of Band–Aids, which can be easily found in every family medicine cabinet. It is a fabric, polymer or non-woven base with an adhesive layer applied to it, a tampon impregnated with an antiseptic solution is located in the center of the base. Due to its antibacterial and disinfecting properties, the bactericidal adhesive plaster accelerates the healing processes, prevents secondary infection and masks the wound.
