Instruction for Use of Valenta Pharm’s Medicine to Treat Gastrointestinal Disorders Was Changed

The instruction for use Exportal® produced by Valenta Pharm was complemented with new data regarding its pharmacologic features and dosage.

The part ‘Pharmacologic features. Pharmacodynamics’ of the Exportal® Instruction for use was changed. It was complemented with an explanation that the prebiotic effect of lactitol (the active pharmaceutical ingredient of Exportal®) stimulating the growth of its own “beneficial” intestinal bacteria and simultaneously suppressing “unhealthy” bacteria, is an action that restores its own intestinal microbiome¹, which is extremely important for the organism.

Another change was made in the part the Instruction for use ‘Way of use and dosage'. Half-dosages of the drug for adults and children are described in detail, which is especially important for individual dosing and achieving the desired effect - prebiotic or laxative¹.
